Scenario for the Dollar Today
The Brazilian Central Bank (Bacen) released this morning that the Central Bank’s Economic Activity Index (IBC-Br) rose 1.17% in July compared to June 2022. The data shows that the preliminary GDP came in much better than the projection. The consensus was 0.50%.

This is because the indicator is considered a preview of the country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP), which is the sum of all final goods and services produced in a given region during a given period.

Considering a year against another year, the IBC-Br rose 3.87% in July against the same month in 2021, while the consensus was projecting 2.75%.
Meanwhile, in the United States, the requests for unemployment aid fell to 213,000 in the week to September 10, as released by the country’s labor department on Thursday morning (15).

According to the survey, the expectation was 226 thousand, while in the previous week, 218 thousand (revised from 222 thousand).

According to the report forwarded to the market, the volume of 213 thousand in the referred period configures a reduction of 5,000 from the revised level of the previous week.

The previous week’s level, in turn, was revised downwards by 4,000 from 222,000 to 218,000.
