During the month of September, the price of Bitcoin (BTC) registered a slight devaluation of 0.89% in its quotation in reais. Nevertheless, in that month, Brazilians traded 36,591.81 Bitcoins. That is, about R$ 3.79 billion in the cryptocurrency.

According to the most recent report from Cointrader Monitor (CTM) – which gathers data from digital asset exchanges operating in Brazil – compared to August, there was a 16.2% jump in the volume of BTC traded. Similarly, the volume in Brazilian Reais required to move this amount of Bitcoins varied positively by 4.21%.

As mentioned, the price of BTC varied negatively last month. On the first day of September, the value of Bitcoin was R$105,613.39. And on the 30th, the price retreated to R$104,672.87.
On Monday (3), Bitcoin recorded a drop from the price that closed the month of September. At the time of writing this article, the largest cryptocurrency on the market is trading at R$101,499.93, according to CTM. In the last 24 hours, the price of BTC has retreated by about 1.5% in its quotation in reais.

Binance continues to lead in Bitcoin volume



For the survey, CTM collected information from more than 30 exchanges operating in Brazil. The brokers consulted include, for example, Binance, Mercado Bitcoin, BitcoinToYou, BitcoinTrade, FTX, BitPreço, Alter, NovaDAX, Bitso, Liqi, Biscoint, among others.

As the report highlighted, the crypto platform with the highest volume of BTC traded in August was once again Binance. In all, the exchange traded 16,255.14 Bitcoins. In percentage terms, the BTC moved by Binance in September this year equals 44.43% of all Bitcoin transactions in Brazil. Last month this percentage was 45.06%.

NovaDAX had the second largest share, accounting for 16.54% of Bitcoin trading this past month. The Brazilian exchange moved 6,052.52 BTC. In third place was BitPreço with 4,688.30 BTC traded.

Finally, the CTM report highlighted that in the month of September, the day that recorded the highest Bitcoin movement was the 9th. On that date, 2,397.54 BTC, equivalent to R$264,654,682.12 (R$264 million) were traded.
On the other hand, the day with the least movement was September 4, when Brazilians moved 373.34 BTC (R$ 38,925,978.57). The average daily volume for the month of September 2022 was 1,219.73 BTC.
